Practice: Saying Hello Collectively as a Daily Attunement

Begin by saying hello. That’s how the shift starts.

Once you start, you may begin to notice something surprising: there are plants everywhere. In cracks in the sidewalk. In pots on porches. Peeking out of alleyways. Lining roads, growing in ditches, standing quietly in parks and forests.

So here’s a simple exercise:

For five minutes a day, say hello to every plant you see.
It doesn’t have to be out loud. You can bow slightly, smile inwardly, send a feeling. But do it with intention. Presence. Respect.

If you’re walking, walk slowly. If you’re sitting, let your eyes land gently on whatever green is nearby. Even if it’s one blade of grass—say hello.

Let this become a daily ritual. A tuning. A softening. A way of rejoining the field of life.

You may begin to feel something shift. The world becomes more alive. More relational. More with you.

This is how EarthSong begins. With simple acts of sacred attention, practiced daily.
